With Lake Almanor just 20 minutes from the lodge, the opportunities are endless! Whether you're into boating, water sports, fishing, or just enjoying the water, Lake Almanor is a great place to unwind.
Historic Chester
Chester may be small, but it is filled with many great options for eating, drinking, shopping, sightseeing, or just relaxing. During your stay with us, don’t just limit yourself to Lassen and Lake Almanor. Take some time to explore Chester too, even if it just for an afternoon. We promise you will be as charmed as we are.
Hiking Plumas Country
Chester is near several areas of interest for outdoor activities, within a 50-mile radius the town has numerous CDF and USFS trails and campgrounds, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Drakesbad and Lake Almanor are other areas of interest for vacationers and tourists with outdoor hobbies.
Golfing
Lake Almanor is home to three golf courses to choose from. Bailey Creek Golf Course is a championship 18-hole course, and there are two 9-hole golf courses, Lake Almanor West Golf Course and Lake Almanor Country Club!
Biking
There are various trails and paths to choose from within a short distance from the lodge! Whether you want to hit Last Chance Loop or the Recreation Trail, the Lake Almanor area is perfect for a day of biking!
Winter Activities
From snowshoeing to snowskiing, Plumas County has it all when it comes to winter activities. There are plenty of sledding hills, hiking trails, and even a skiing hill for all types of winter adventures!
